All the time I’m asked about the most effective workouts. Which lifts develop the most mass? Which exercises are most effective for burning fat? Well, as usual, my answer sounds something like, “it depends.” It depends on goals, body type, age, and tons of other factors. However, one thing always holds true. Never get comfortable. Whether you’re lifting weights, pedaling a SpinĀ® bike, or doing squat jumps, you have to get outside your comfort zone to get better. Too many people do the same thing, with the same weight, for the same length of time, and wonder why they stay the same.Get tired. Get uncomfortable. Do a little bit more than you think you can and soon enough, you’ll be doing a lot more than you used to do.
